The specimens will be measured using the KS ELISPOT compact system under a stereo microscope with incident illumination, and equipped with a motor stage. The images of the cytokine spots are taken with a true color camera. Following digitization the KS ELISPOT software proceeds with automatic data processing.
Fast evaluation times are obtained by acquiring just one image per well. The measurement time for a complete plate is less than 5 minutes. A reliable identification, even of smaller spots is possible by using the scanning mode of the system to generate a higher primary magnification image. As an alternative a high resolution digital color camera Axiocam MRc may be used. An upgrade to the high-resolution image KS ELISPOT is possible.
